The communication was great and they asked all the right questions. I am very happy with the product quality of the parts which is fantastic. I am definitely planning to give the supplier more to quote. Parts was delivered from China in only few days. Thanks a lot to Sechien coordinated all my questions even on her holiday. Will start to make more drawings.

FAQ

What is CNC milling?

CNC milling is a computer-controlled machining process that uses a rotating cutting tool to remove material from a stationary workpiece, allowing for the creation of complex shapes, holes, and surface features. This process enables manufacturers to produce parts with strict tolerances, CNC milling works well for many materials, including metals, plastics, wood and glass, widely used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and industrial machinery.

Both are subtract manufacturing processes.

CNC milling, the cutting tool moves to remove material from a stationary part. It is ideal for creating complex, flat, or 3D shapes.

CNC turning, the part rotates while a stationary cutting tool removes material. This method is best suited for producing cylindrical or round parts.

We provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis for CNC milling and all other machining services. Our engineers review your 2D and 3D files to ensure your design can be manufactured cost-effectively, reliably, and within tolerance.
The engineering team will:
Wall thickness and tolerance feasibility
Undercuts and tool-access issues
Design features affecting machining cost
Fixturing and work-holding risks
Surface finish and heat-treatment compatibility
Provide optimization suggestions for geometry, tolerances, materials and surface finishes

CNC milling can work with a wide range of materials. Metals frequently used include steel, aluminum, and titanium, each offering different properties for various applications. Additionally, CNC milling is effective on various plastic such as ABS, polycarbonate, and polypropylene, which are valued for their versatility and ease of machining.
